Australia Calling."Radio waves?" Did you ask your specialist what he means. Does he means low dose radiotherapy as you say you are "not ripe enough to have surgery". Tell us more as you may be just at the stage to stop the progression. Remember once you have the first surgery it could be the count down to the next surgery. I was 35 yr old when diagnosed .Ask plenty of questions and be as informed as the specialist so that nothing comes as a surprise. With regards to supplements I know many Physician Specialists think they are a waste of money. You need to have blood tests to see it you are deficient in any thing. I have read in the recently published Radiotherapy for Non-Malignant Disorders (Seegenschmiedt ) mentions nutritional factors,Oxygen free radicals & vascular disorders. There could be benifits in checking any defeciency in B12, E D and Selinium .Regards from down under.

Yes, radiotherapy is the word he used. I just couldn't remember it when I was asking on here. The contracture I have is small & my Doc said I am not yet a candidate for the surgery. He said the FDA is looking into something about needles that are called Aponatherapy or something like that, but not yet approved by FDA...although it shows great potential so far. He also said an enzyme is being worked on that dissolves protein & it gets injected into the contracture...

Why does the nodule on my hind itch so badly? I've been putting hydrocortisone cream on it to help, along with taking Benadryl. Is it because the fibroblasts are currently at work making the nodule stronger? Is this itching normal?

Hi -Australia Calling.
I experienced a 'funny feeling- itching' deep inside the tissues area particularly, when the nodules were expanding and actively growing. ( When I had Radiotherapy this stopped .)
Why are you taking Benadryl ? I would hope the use of hydrocortisone is being monitored by your medical practitioner. Have you looked at the dangers of extended use. I have not seen any information about it being used in the relief of Dupuytrens.
