Thanks for sharing that Barbara. Not sure I understand the connection with tendons though? Maybe your problem is not DD after all, or some DD and some other problem.

Hi spanishbuddha
well a dr had diagnosed it as dupuytrens and the tendon thru the palm can be felt hardened and presumably shrinking and not flexible at all.
i have attached a photo to show the tendons in hand and why i went there...
do you have a need to hang on to your pain and discomfort or would you be willing to try something simple that has worked for some one else. everyone can make their own choice. i understand that every ' body ' is different and has a different set of requirements to be healthy. i am just so excited about the relief in my hand i had to share. i cant believe it either.

...
IN 5 DAYS I HAVE HAD A MIRACLE. my pinky finger has no pain and is 75% straight.
...
i saw a difference in pain in two days and the finger straightening out more each day after three days.

Hello barb444. Do I understand correctly that your finger was bent 45° (25% of 180°) after 5 days of your diet?
How much was it bent before, and how straight is it now, after 5 days + some more each day after three days?
Do you have any actual photos of your hand before and/or now in addition to the schematic of someone else's hand which you uploaded? Thanks.

Re: 30yo male, just been diagnosed, questions on my diet and next steps.

hey stefan, i did not have any photos of my hand. i had read that nothing would work to help it, without following dr's ideas for so long i didnt really have a lot of faith that a vitamin would help. i thought everyone would have tried them already, so many people have it. i am one who thinks oh well give it a go,my body will dispose of it if it doesnt need it. but i honestly thought i was stuck with it
i had a phot from about four years ago when i first had trouble with it but i cant fine which computer it was on, but i will keep ooking. ( http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-condi...re/img-20006340 ) has a photo of a finger that is the closest i could find but mine was more curled in. i had three nodule bits, one down in palm, one on the mercury mount and one on the bottom flange of finger. it is my right hand. i also have a nodule on the jupiter mount.
the results today day 6 are. no pain, all nodules greatly receded, the tip of my pinky is bent forward only about one centemetre/half an inch from lining up with next door finger. i really havent had any pain in the finger from the time of the first two magnesium pills.
i know it sounds too good to be true. i just would love someone else to get the similar results.

ps.. i dont take any substances to alter my mind and have never been accused of being more than a little doo dally ..lol

Let's be clear DD does not affect tendons. Nodules and cords are collagen formations in the fascia, usually along the lines of pretendinous bands. Anyway I am glad this is working for you.

Hi

Just a couple of random thoughts...

- I believe DD is for some of us genetic in nature - it provides predisposition for the disease - I have LD - my father had DD.

- I believe its onset can/could be traced back to a stressful time/situation. I also believe/agree poor nutrition is somewhat involved. I am not sure where I read it but I read that stress/poor nutrition "may" cause your liver to create less that stellar collagen (grade C/D). In my case, I injured my foot and then developed LD - poor nutrition and high levels of stress were involved.

- Fibroblasts/ Myofibroblasts - Words to study. Any advances on DD will focus at this level.
(a cell in connective tissue that produces collagen and other fibers)

- I did RT and in my case, it stopped LD on its tracks. (Hamburg)

- Enzymes pills work for me. The nodule in my foot feels firm and within 15 minutes after taking one of the enzyme pills, the nodule is soft.

- I try to do a liver detox diet once a year - the liver must be looked after in my opinion as it filters even the air we breathe...

Hope you have gotten some answers. Best of luck.

I agree wih your comments. DD I a individual prognosis & diagnosis. It is a auto immune disease. Never goes away. Management of the disease with treatment available are the only alternatives at this point.
However, I lost you at the enzymes pills. Could you please elaborate more on the enzime pills? I have had the enzyme injections, not familiar with the enzyme pills?
Thank you.
Kind Regards
Cherise

Re: 30yo male, just been diagnosed, questions on my diet and next steps.

sorry I lost you...

At the beginning of the thread, someone asked about Neprinol which is a brand of enzyme pills that are supposed to clear excess fibrin levels in your blood - one of their many claims. I do not use Neprinol but use Serrapeptase and Nattokinase and have in the past used other proteolytic enzyme formulations.

Many believe they are just placebo pills.

In my case, they seem to help. Not sure why they do, but they do. I believe it may have to do with the excess fibrin my body produces and these enzymatic formulations claim to remove it - Fibrin and keloids go hand in hand == to a certain extent I believe keloids and fibromatosis growths may be similar in nature. (excessive deposition of collagen)

hope this explains it better

Mercedes - after reading your post, I did some reading about nattokinase and just bought a bottle from my local health food store - 2,000 FU's of activity per capsule. What dosage do you find most effective? Heck, even if it is a placebo effect, it's better than nothing!

Thanks for your advice.

Re: 30yo male, just been diagnosed, questions on my diet and next steps.

I just take one of each 1 hour before I wake up. No kidding. I set my alarm one hour before - wake up, take them and then fall back to sleep again

You are supposed to take them on an empty stomach - one hour before or two hours after a meal.

I take them then because they seem to get rid of "my getting out of bed middle age aches and pains" I walk in the mornings and since the nodule in my arch seems to disappear when I take them, it makes for a better walk. Win-Win situation

I agree - maybe they are placebo BUT... I can tell when I forget to take them...
