Achilled Rupture 2 weeks after Xiaflex Injection:
I had a Xiaflex injection in my left hand to correct a Dupuytrens contracture middle finger. The procedure went well & snapped the cord - freeing up my finger from contracture. Two weeks later, the achilles in my left leg ruptured. Looking back, I've come to the conclusion that the Xiaflex weakened my achilles - causing it to snap.

My objective in entering this post is to see if others have had a similar experience. If you think about it, Xiaflex is designed to weaken the cord (in your hand) causing it to snap. If so, it's conceivable that it can also weaken a ligament - such as the achilles - causing it to snap.

I would think this was rather a coincidence. If the cord is missed when injectiong then some of the collagenase might leak into the body but by the time that it arrives at your leg it is probably diluted so much that it can't do much harm anymore. Nevertheless I agree with SB that it should be reported and recorded by your doctor.
