Another newbie
Hi Everyone, my diagnosis was confirmed by my GP last week and at first I was a bit depressed about it, spend time keeping fit and eating well to try and keep myself fit and healthy. I am a 64 year old female (which seems a bit of a novelty on here) and have a nodule and cord on the ring finger of my left hand and the GP felt he could feel something on the little finger too. I have waded through a lot of the information here although some of it takes some getting used to on the technical side. My question at the moment is has anyone used massage as a therapy (I did read the abstract), my GP didn't suggest any exercises and in my non-medical brain massage seems like something that may at least delay onset (although some of my reading seems to suggest it progresses quicker in men). I have started massaging as I don't see that it can do any harm but any anecdotal experiences please.
Thanks for any info.

Re: Another newbie
Hi sumay
Welcome to the forum. There's a thread on massage therapy, see here http://www.dupuytren-online.info/Forum_E...erapy-2_18.html with user experience. It includes reports by a massage therapist Stephen Jeffrey who claims good results, and in fact some of his clients have posted on here and Facebook that they have been pleased. Stephen is a professional who has developed a specific routine, as I suppose there could be a danger of making things worse if done incorrectly. I have no personal experience myself.
You could also use the search bar on 'massage' or Stephen name to explore further.
Best Wishes SB
