Yes, I have dupuytren's in my thumb and in my 1st web space and the cramping in and around my thumb puts the limit on what I can do with my hand. More I use it, the more it cramps...
I try heat to help relax the muscles.

You might have Dupuytren's combined with a trigger finger. This is not a rare combination http://www.carpal-tunnel.net/about-cts/triad and http://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007...-642-22697-7_31 . Or maybe you have just a trigger finger? The symptoms of both diseases are similar requiring careful diagnosis http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/329414-differential.

I have DD in my left hand affecting my ring finger, pinky & thumb. I too have painful cramps that "lock down" my affected fingers & thumb. I actually have to use my other hand to pull them away from my palm. They do seem to be related to me. Does anyone else experience this?
