DD was used in a TV SHOW CSI. Very interesting. see below....

Hello ,
I know this is a way off topic. I thought it was interesting and decided to share how DD was used in a different roll other than all our frustrations we experience daily with this disease. just adding a bit of humor.

Confessions of a Binge watcher, watching (CSI), Crime Scene Investigation Las Vegas 2006-7, Series 7, Episode 2... pt 2. There was a reason for the CSI's delimna at the time of inspection at the crime scene, it was unknown that the victim had DD, not to mention the real reason for the victum actions were that he lost million$ on a deal that went south! Las Vegas! Ugg!

The CSI specialist uses Dupuytrens Contracture as a reason to explain why the suicide victim still had the gun in his hand when found at the scene,( when normally the gun falls) which lead the CSI team to believe it was a murder and the gun was planted in the victums hand. The CSI's explanation to solve the case was due to DD as tissue enlargement that contracts the fourth and fifth fingers in this case from Dupuytrens, the gun was clutched in the fingers that were stationary before the trigger was pulled way before rigger sets in. No murder, A Case of DD. I guess it was either a light gun or the DD was pulling the fingers at a 180'. Talk about trigger finger...Unfortunately I got that too!

DD is something we all unfortunately know all to well about. I thought it was a interesting way to use the disease as a way to explain the tight hold on the weapon. As it turns out one of the producers of the show has DD and wrote the segment in the show.

If you are interested on how stumped the CSI was on this case, it's online on demand or thru other intertainment venues.
