Dupuytren's

I am a 49 y.o. white female from southern mid Tennessee. I have Dupuytren's in both hands and fibromatosis in both feet. I saw a hand specialist a year ago--he said that I'm not your average bear. He would not do anything to my hands until a finger is at a 45 degree angle and there's no pain. I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one who has pain in my hands. Does anybody also have itching? I don't have itching all the time. Sometimes it's days and sometimes more than once in a day. It's almost like pins and needles. I've used everthing out there for itching and have even iced. Any suggestions?? I have an appointment Tuesday with a foot specialist at same clinic where I saw hand doc. I am hoping for something to relieve my pain without surgery again. Thanks!

Re: Dupuytren's

Hi from what you describe the disease it active. It would be the right time to consider radiotherapy. Do you have any contraction.

What did you mean by, " I am hoping for something to relieve my pain without surgery again"?

What was your surgery?

Re: Dupuytren's

I do have contraction. My finger hasn't drawn up any yet. Although, I can't lift my finger up when my hand is on a flat surface. I've had surgery on soles of both feet to remove nodules. They have come back on both feet. I have pain in the morning and after being off of my feet--my left foot is worse than the right. After walking for a while, it gets better.

Common problem with nodules on feet. You can get 2 nodules after one is removed. ie. One at each end.
