Interesting...
I'm 5 weeks post-surgery and I have to admit I'm pretty fed up. Dramatic swelling and stiffness still, but the worst thing is the awful burning pain/numbness in my finger and hand. The left hand dorsal and PIP nodules have flared up considerably since the op - my physio suggested massage and here's an interesting article: http://www.rmtedu.com/blog/dupuytrens-di...tform=hootsuite Also - and this could be VERY IMPORTANT - any Brits with confirmed, progressive nodules are needed for this trial at Oxford University: https://ridd.octru.ox.ac.uk/ Progress...maybe!

Re: Interesting...
Sorry to hear that.
Just out of curiosity, why did you opt for surgery over other optionns?

Re: Interesting...
As I've written on here before, the very large nodules (2) were above and below my PIP joint, and also 2 just beneath the finger. Plus a large dorsal module on same finger! After years of pain and misdiagnosis, the joint was contracted over 90 degrees and the diseased tissue had grown around the ligaments etc. Hand surgeon said he had to strip it back to the bone to remove all the dupuytrens tissue and give me the best chance against recurrence. I work with my hands and it's of the utmost importance that I can use them - wouldn't it be lovely if we could just flick a switch and stop these buggers growing :)
