I have just been diagnosed with DD. Early stage. Only one nodule on left palm. No cords. No other problems. See my thread.
Thanks for starting this thread it is really helping me. I think I will go with spanishbuddah insights. An active "wait and see" approach. I can live with a nodule on my hand if it does nothing else. If it does progress I will read up on how injection and RT treatments have progressed. Things may become clearer as more data and experiences evolve.

Hi Coogeematt, sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Your DD sounds similar to mine, nodule in the palm of one hand. However, I do have a cord forming and over the past couple of weeks both of my hands and feet are aching a lot. I don't think I could handle it if DD develops in the other hand and LD in my feet. I have already had to stop exercising using weights as any firm pressure on the nodule is very painful.
Second round of RT in September so hopefully that can slow or halt the progression in my right hand.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do, I'll check out your thread.

I always follow Doctors' advice, but I would guard against waiting until DC gets into heavy stage I, as one is running out of some easier therapeutic options once contracture starts in earnest.
My father has been fighting DC for about 25 years and it has been a real struggle for him. Multiple surgeries with limited success. He cannot use his pants pockets anymore, as he cannot unfold his hands to get them into his pockets, or grab anything that he puts in them.

Just a quick update. I saw Dr Wong again yesterday and he confirmed that we will need to treat a larger area of my right hand for the second round of RT in September.
Even though I only have visible signs of DD in my right hand, both of my hands and feet have been very tender and aching a lot over the past few weeks. I am considering trying to see a Dupuytren's specialist to find out exactly what areas of my hands/feet may be affected. Does anyone have any recommendations on who to see in the NY/NJ area?
