Knuckle pad associated with Dupuytren

I have cyst type growth on several fingers and I have been diagnosed with Knuckle pad associated with Dupuytren. They have been injected twice with cortisone. Has anyone had one of these removed and did the growth return?

Re: Knuckle pad associated with Dupuytren

Andrea, my knucklepads are so insignificant that they don't cause me any trouble, so I haven't even thought of treatment, but reading this forum I found that there are several treatments including surgery but none are widely adopted:

If you use the Search box at the top of this page and type in the following phrase, you will find posts where members had surgery for the condition. Here's the phrase to type: surgery and "knuckle pads"

Yes I had surgery 2 years ago to have one removed from my right index finger. It was constantly sore and contracting so my finger would not bend properly anymore. My finger is still sore and swollen, and now won't straighten anymore either. I would think twice before having them removed, if they are not causing serious problems I'd say leave well alone!
