I visited a orthopedic hand surgeon recently and was diagnosed with Dupuytren's Disease. I have stage 2 contracture in right pinkie finger (with large nodule under PIP joint)) and a large lump in middle of palm stetching from middle to and index finger. I also have a very small nodule under right ring finger PIP joint with no contracture.
However, the only recommendation the doctor suggested was surgery on finger with contracture. I was told that nothing else could be done for large lump in palm.
I would like to get a second opinion, preferably from a doctor also experienced with Xiaflex injections. There are some doctors nearby me listed on Xiaflex's website, but I would also appreciate some suggestions from forum on doctors in Chicago that have a good track record performing both surgery and Xiaflex injections for dupuytren disease/ contractures.
