Nodule In Palm of Hand Very Sore - Help

Has anyone had experience in applying or rubbing any type of topical cream, or solution, or whatever on a very hard nodule in the palm of the hand and getting relief from the pain?

I hear nodules are not supposed to hurt, but this one hurts a lot whenever I put any pressure on it. Its an inch below the base of my ring finger and there might even be a cord attached to it, its hard to tell. All I know is that it hurts and I want to make the pain go away......(I have no contracture by the way, but I do have an uncomfortable stretch feeling (like a taught rubber band running up from the nodule into my ring finger whenever I outstretch my hand)(I don't like that feeling at all!).....

anyway need relief from sore nodule without taking extreme measures

thanks

You said, "anyway need relief from sore nodule without taking extreme measures"

I don't think there are any "extreme measures" that would be used for a sore nodule. You might consider RT at this time or just deal with the pain for awhile. Often the pain goes away after the nodule becomes dormant. Many people think it feels like having a callus after awhile without pain.

Re: Nodule In Palm of Hand Very Sore - Help

Some people in the past have posted about using silicone (scar reduction) plasters or sheets, over their nodules during periods of intense soreness. I have no experience so can't say if it helps.
