Re: Pain with surgery

Reading with interest and had to ask. Why not consider RTon hand in initial DD stages. I have long 10 year history DD in right hand..had to have FP (I was beyond point of NA help and tried 2 rounds of xiaflex injections without significant improvement ). I am progressing well after surgery last month. (°of closure 65%)
Meanwhile I am finishing up my second round of Radiation on my left hand with its beginning nodules. I learned of RT from this site and after extensive research found a Radiation Ocologist who also worked with me to find the best.hand surgeon in area to perform a 3 hour surgery on right hand under general anesthesia, a preferable option. Guess it is unusual for 2 doctors with expertise, knowlegeable and willingness to cross lines surgery/radiation procedures and work towards best result.
PS so happy..I can flatten my right hand for the first time in.many many years. Excited for all procedures on the horizon!

Thank you for the suggestion. I will look for an oncologist who would try RT.[img][/img]

Re: Pain with surgery

Unfortunately not, although there ought to be several. It also depends on what treatment you are looking for. For radiotherapy Frank Sullivan of Galway is listed on http://www.dupuytren-online.info/radiotherapy_clinics.html .
