Radiation Therapy at Morristown Medical

hi

I was diagnosed with the disease in February 2013 and last summer found Dr. James Wong at Morristown Medical on this site. He learned about doing rt in Germany and I was treated by him in September and December of 2013 for lumps on the palm of my left hand. A year later there has been no increased growth, I have full flexibility of my hand and fingers and, of course, no scars. I am so grateful to this site for listing him and to Dr. Wong himself for his work. He told me today, he'd see me in a year and I couldn't be happier(or more relieved)

Hi Faith,

I am also being treated by Dr Wong. Round 1 of RT completed at the end of June with round 2 scheduled for mid-September. How advanced was your DD before treatment and did it improve or stay the same after RT?

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Radiation Therapy at Morristown Medical

hi

Sorry for the delay in answering. I had three nodules on my left palm and my fingers were a bit stiff although with full mobility. After the treatment the nodules are still there, but smaller and no new ones have appeared. In addition my fingers have regained full flexibility with no curvature at all. I finished treatment last December and saw Dr. Wong again in July. He told me that I didn't need to come back for a year.

Hope your second round of treatment goes well!

Faith
