Re: Should I Get RT?

All my treatments have been 10x3Gy (no break other than a weekend/holiday). I can ask my oncologist when I go in today his opinion if you would like.

Thanks that would be great. I'm scheduled to go in next Monday for my first treatment.

Re: Should I Get RT?

My radiation oncologist said that all the split treatment studies and trials that he has seen are not as effective and would recommend the 7 days straight over a split treatment.

Re: Should I Get RT?

Hey all, I had to change my Username for some reason( This is Edd74) . But anyway, I was not able to get RT last year for some personal reasons but I'm back on the path of getting this done. Met with an Oncologist last week that is willing to do the therapy. He has not done this before for DD but has read the reports and feels confident in doing the therapy. He is requesting and MRI and the office told me that BCBS is also requesting the MRI. I was just wondering if anyone else got a MRI before or Did your insurance request on done? Thanks

Re: Should I Get RT?

I had MRI scan prior to RT; the oncologist wanted a closer look. However it revealed nothing more. With the second hand, there was no MRI.
