It looks very similar (except the color) to the hand splint made for me at the hand therapy center, except mine doesn't involve my wrist, which I like. The first one I got after the Xiaflex was a big malleable and uncomfortable board. This new one secures my at my palm and holds my MCP into a 0 degree position, which was achieved via Xiaflex. It did take some heating and bending on my part to make it more comfortable, because it just dug into my ring finger MCP. My PIP wasn't as fortunate with the Xiaflex, and the doc said it's as good as it's going to get at 10 degrees. So, this splint applies some pressure on my PIP, though not enough to be uncomfortable. Because it's kind of spring action plastic, I get as much as a 5 degree contracture by the time I wake up, but it's back to 10-15 degrees by the time I go to bed. I just keep hoping that maybe one of these days that 5 degrees will finally hold throughout the day. But, if I don't wear it, I feel pretty certain, I'd be back to 35 degrees in no time.

Having said all of the above, this really does look like a good alternative, and I may actually order one. Thanks for the link!!
