Hi, I am a 50 year old male living in Cape Town South Africa and am new to the forum.
I have dupuytrens in both hands in the little fingers and ring fingers. the little fingers are 45 degrees bent and feel pain in my hands and arms. On the left hand I have had 2 traditional ops in the last 5 years. On the right hand I had NA and when the dupuytrens grew back, went for a traditional op. as i was told that i could not have any more NA treatment, the dupuytrens have grown back aggressively. I've read about radiation and xiaflex treatment. I am currently under the care of a hand surgeon and he has not suggested either. He did say that this was the most aggressive case of dupuytrens he had seen.
I was also advised that I can only have 2 ops due to excessive scaring. I also have blood flow problems ie in the cold weather my scared areas turn blue.
So I was wondering if anybody in similar situations that that can give some guidance.
