yes Dr. Wolfson is my Doctor here in Miami,,,and he does do MRI's before doing radiation...I am going for my 2nd round next month (12 week interval).....I sure hope something works, because so far things are a bit worse with new nodules after the first round----.

If you get a chance, ask why the MRI? How big of a field are you having the MRI? Your whole palm and most of your fingers?

Dr. Eaton is managing the US based Dupuytren Foundation, which is a member of the International Dupuytren Society, and he also is one of the chairmen of the International Dupuytren Society http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytren_society.html. He is no longer practicing but he is very active in support and research.

Hi Lowel,

Has Dr. Wolfson gone over the MRI with you? What I mean by this is: Has he viewed the MRI in your company and explained what the areas look like, the nodules and cords under the surface?

I think it is awesome that he does the MRI's & is able to understand what it all looks like when veiwing the MRI. My hands surgeon Kay Kirkpatrick, who was trained by Dr. Charles Eaton said MRI would not be helpful. I was somewhat disappointed in her comment regarding the MRI

I return to Florida Dec. 16th for round 2 on my hands. (New Port Richie). Based off my experience (with the foot) on the 'in between 12 week break' of radiatons it seem like it angered the disease and it then showed up in other areas. I may be wrong but I thought this is one reason why the 12 week break verse the 6 to 8 week break.
