Re: Xiaflex or surgery for PIP joint

My OT made what she calls a "C" splint, because it is shaped like a c for me. I had NA on a cord in the webbing between my thumb and index finger. It was great for a few weeks, then started contracting again. The splint pulls it back out every night. During the day it contracts a little, but stays out more each day.

Re: Xiaflex or surgery for PIP joint

Hey Martin, (nice name)

My Xiaflex treatment is doing well, but it might be because I had such a protruding cord that could be injected cleanly and a skilled doc. He said not to expect any reduction of the large nodule, but I suspect he injected up near or into it, because it is gone and my pinky is nearly flat. Brace is used 100% at nites.....

It's only been 5 months, but I post new photos as attached. Good Luck in your situation.

Marty
