knuckle pads
I have 3 knuckle pads.1 on each of my thumbs and one on my right pointer finger. It is spreading on both of my thumbs an even on my right pinkey.Even under my right thumb it is rough, same for under my left pointer finger. It has been like this for about 7 years now and it has really affected me emotionally.I am 17 years old and dread having to wake up and go to school with these "knuckle pads" on my fingers.I was very disappointed when I read that there was no real cure accept for surgery and even with that they will reappear.Any new info will be much appriciated. matt h

Knuckle Pad
I had one knuckle pad on right index finger, grew fast over 2 months. Started drinking 1 can of guava juice every day. After 3 weeks, it started shrinking, in another 2 months it was gone. Only occasionally drink it now. Has not come back. I offer this only as my unusual experience, I realize some will scoff at this. Guava is one of several foods that have natural digestive enzymes, which help the liver. (papaya, pineapple, kiwi, ginger, figs)

knuckle pads
Matt, knuckle pads are no big deal. I've had them for years and nobody seems to notice. I had one removed about 6 years ago during surgery for a contracture - the incision healed ok and that pad hasn't come back.
If you really start looking at other people's hands, particularly older people, you'll see all sorts of anomalies and signs of injuries or damage.

knuckle pads
I have a knuckle pad on my little finger. Dr. Eaton fixed my bent finger last year, but the knuckle pad keeps growing. I hurts when I bump it.
