Where have you nuts come from suddenly? No wonder I seldom post anymore. It used to be only Sean, now there are so many others.

Randy, toM and a few others work too hard to maintain sensibility.

As for the silly posters; do your things with Chiropractors, Acupunturists and intake of subtances that may excaserbate your conditions, but please stop posting your nonsense.

I agree that yoga is a great help with this condition. Hey, don't knock it til you've tried it. It involves some effort, which most people don't like. All the mudras (hand movements) and many of the asanas are perfect for stretching the hands and keeping them flexible. Try it for a month or two, and see for yourself!

There have been no successful reports of Yoga exercises being of benefit to D/C. In fact, the stressful stretching may exacerbate the condition.

Answer

I agree that yoga is a very beneficial exercise, but in no way believe it has any practical benefit for DC.

Is this another sales pitch by the followers of the money hungry Don King of the yoga world--Bikram?

If you can straighten out your fingers, then you do not have Dupuytren's Contracture.

The Table Test

Be certain to advise Dr. Eaton prior to your visit that you can straighten your fingers. He will be the one to determine if you have D/C or whatever and if NA will be of help.

Good Luck

Answer
The Table Test

Roxy,

This is very simple: If your fingers are straight enough so that you can place all of the palm of your hand flat on a table with no strain, you really don't have a problem and may not be ready for NA, if ever. If it 'ant broke, it's very hard to fix.

Always try least invasive method and get a good doc

Roxy, sorry I don't feel that the word skeptic is an insult.

There have been some gullible individuals here claiming that Bikram yoga as a virtual panacea. A few searches on the web and you can find that this individual (Bikram) is a shyster and crook of the first order.

If you search through the various topics you can find some articles I've pasted in that document the Don King of the yoga world.
