Sarah,

Did you doctor refer to the procedure as "NA"? Did he learn how to do it in Paris?

Answer
More NA doctors

Sarah,

I am very interested in the location of hand surgeons who do NA, other than Dr. Eaton and associate, and Dr. Bourland. Do you have any information you would like to share with us?

Answer
Hand Surgeon~sq~s Position

Prior to finding Dr.Chas.Eaton; I had two appointments with a local reputable hand surgeon

He had his mind made up that if I wanted my deformity corrected; I was going to submit to his procedure which involved the zigzag incision of each finger and incision of the palm with stitches and a splint followed by moths of physical therapy.

His attitude was " When you are ready to have something done about your deformity, you will return and have it done my way.

I cannot say whether it was ignotance or greed that drove him to insist on the hideous proceudre that has been done in the US for the last fifty years

Answer
Dupuytren~sq~s disease

I was diagnosed today with Dupuytren and in my research I have found that there may be alternatives to surgery. Has anyone had success with "needle aponevrotony" or collagenase? Also does anyone know who is researching "enzymatic percutaneous fasciotomy?" My doctor suggested physical therapy which is not a cure and eventually will lead to surgergery Ñ something I really do not want to do. I am a female and I reside in Southern California. Any information anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. You may also send messages directly to my email address.
Thank you in advance.

Answer
Doctor William Bourland

However, Doctor William Bourland has treated many patients with NA. Those who post here have glowing reports about his NA treatment on their hands.

Answer
Dupuytren

Bert, thank you for the info on N/A. This is all so new to me and I am still in shock after being diagnosed with Dup. I have been to many doctors who took X-Rays only to rule out arthritis but none knew what I had. Amazing! At what point in the disease is it best to have N/A? Is sooner better than letting it get worse?

Answer
Scotty- third US NA doctor

Dr. Eaton has an associate or partner performing NA
at Dr. Eaton's Jupiter, FL office. I suspect that is
the "third" Doctor. The details are available in previous
posts and at Dr. Eaton's Hand Center web site.

Answer
third doc

The third doctor is Dr. Zidel who is an associate of Dr. Eaton in Jupiter FL. He only does the NA procedure on Mondays. As Frances will tell you he was trained in Paris.
