I have been diagnosed with D/C and suddenly my feet itch on the bottom like crazy - especially my right foot which has multiple nodules. It drives me nuts. Does anyone else experience this itching problem?

There are posts and threads on this site. Surgery may
exaccerbate the nodules as healing occurs ("grapes to golfballs" in one post.) My feet burn and cramp at night.
Walking down steps barefoot causes a "burn." My interim
remedy has been gel sole inserts (Not Walgreen's variety.)
Topical (surface) remedies and/or food supplements are not
likely to remedy Ledderhose. I am able to run a few miles
comfortably and stand all day with a slight "burning" sensation. I hope it does not get worse. Sitting is not
a desirable option. Read up on Ledderhose. Good luck.

      Burning pain

Since you mention "burning pain" you might want to discuss the possibility of RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy)with a knowledgeable health care provider. This disease is rare, but must be diagnosed and treated in the very early stages to be treatable. Without early diagnosis and sucessful treatment it can spread and you could be in for a lifetime of serious pain and disfunction.

        feet itch

yes I also have the itching. My doctor explained it this way: when the tumors are growing they give off a histamine reaction similar to a bug bite. There is medication to block this reaction, but unfortunately I forget what it is called. If you contact your doctor he should be able to tell you. I tried the medication (a pill) a couple of years ago but had no relief from it. The only thing that works for me is to have the tumors removed. much luck

            Glucosamine/Chondroitin

Unfortunately itching can often accompany *any* form of this disease. I believe it has to do with the formation of collagen. When you get a scab sometimes it will itch, which is telling you that healing of the skin is going on. With Dups and Lederhosen this is no different even thought the growth of collagen is run amok.

There is a Forum specifclly for Ledderhose at http://www.dupuytren-online.info/Forum_English/board.php?board=1
