Answer
arthrodesis after open surgeries for Dupuytrens C

I have had 2 open surgeries done on the same small finger of my left hand. One in 1997 by an orthopaedic surgeon and the second by a plastic surgeon in 2005.

Answer
Harry~sq~s question

I have had 2 open surgeries done on the small finger of the left hand. One in 1997 by an orthopaedic surgeon and the second by plastic surgeon in 2005. The PIP joint (middle joint) of this finger is now locked at about an angle of 135 degrees from the straight position. A hand surgeon has advised a procedure called "arthrodesis" (the surgical fusion of the joint). Had anyone had experience with ongoing treatment after prior surgeries. I would appreciate heating from anyone with a similar situation or other pertinent experience.

Harry

Read the thread titled "Treatment by Dr. Denkler" including my post dated 5-09 and Dr's comments dated 5-11. I don't know anything about the procedure you mentioned but I did have prior surgeries on a pinkie before NA combination procedure and it worked out well. At least check out other options before another surgery. I am glad I did. And be sure to post on the forum what happens.
