Dr Ketcham info

Does anyone have any info on Dr Ketcham in Kansas City?? I received a call back from Dr Eaton's office and they recommend that I receive "Kenalog" injections in my DC tumors in my hand. I had OS in Feb of this year and have not been healing well. I assume I am not ready for NA yet. I have 25 degree in pinky but can straighten to 05 in therapy and 20 in ring finger. I am 36 years old and want to keep this disease at bay, however I do not want to do anything that could cause nerve damage.. Any info would be helpful...J Ann

injections Dr. Ketchum

You make no mention of wearing any night splints. A proper device might hold your fingers at bay.

You may e-mail me if you require any additional information.

Good Luck

injections Dr. Ketchum

JoAnn
My husband recently had a dermofasciectomy and injections by Lynn D. Ketchum. I don't have access to his web address right now but can post it in a couple of days. His practice is in Overland Park, KS. His no. is 913-451-8567 and his office administrator is named Kay and is very nice and helpful. Dr. Ketchum is very experienced with injections with good results. He did injections for Richard in nodules in both hands and in one foot for his Ledderhose nodules. They have responded extremely well, having decreased dramatically. Good luck!

Google 'Meet the doctor Lynn D Ketchem'. His qualifications are impressive to say the least. Definately worth a look.

Graeme,
When I post Dr. Ketchum's web address, it goes into some detail about the injections. I'm almost positive that it's kennalog.

Dr Ketchum~sq~s website

J. Ann & Graeme,
Back to my computer and my saved favorites. The web address for Dr. Ketchum is:

www.lynndketchum.com/drketchum.htm

For info on injections select surgery option, then the third paragraph explains the injections. By the way, it says he uses triamcinolone.

injection of triamcinolone acetonide

I posted on the skin grafting thread then saw this thread.
I have had the first series of three triamcinolone injections and symptom wise its been a great result. Mild atrophy of the skin and depigmentation are the side effects. Supposedly go away after 6 months. One tiny nodule dissapeared completely and the other shrank and is softer. Dr. K is honest..this is not a cure but does delay the progression of the nodules.
Good luck. I see his office number and location are already posted. K

injection of triamcinolone acetonide

Richard mentioned in the in the radiotherapy thread that he is currently being treated with triamcinolone. It is not provided by Dr. Ketchum himself but "as specified by Dr. Ketchum" (in his article "The injection of nodules of Dupuytren's disease with triamcinolone acetonide"). Hope it works and I am sure Richard will share the outcome with us.
