Imminent surgery

At75, having had so many surgeries that one more doesn't matter all that much (actually 2 more, I've got a recurrence of DC in one hand and the other one is now affected) I'm inclined to think alternatives to traditional surgery are for the relatively affluent because of travel, cost and insurance problems and/or those who are determined to avoid the knife for whatever reason. My surgery and recovery 10 years ago was not terribly difficult. The plastic surgeon who is going to do it this time says second time surgery might be less successful but NA is not an option for me. Surgery Friday August5. If I can type one handed I'll post a report for anyone who might be interested.

Clif,
What type of surgery? Fasciectomy or a fasciotomy. My surgeon told me that he more commonly did a fasciotomy (like NA in function) for your age group. Short recovery time, less extensive.

Geezer perspective

Sean is right. A fasciotomy is the best for any age group. Short recovery time, less extensive. A much better treatment than NA.
