Re: Newby from Down Under
4th hit, all good. Wore summer socks in my work boots today (Winter in OZ at the moment), made more room for the nodes. Cold feet but less pain in the nodes.

Re: Newby from Down Under
1 week out from 1st round of RT. My feet are very sore. Possible not related, huge and stressful week at work. Started using moisturizer yesterday, who knows it may improve things. Tonight after a shower the plan is to soak both feet in warm water for a while, try and grind some of the painful dried skin off with a pumice stone and treat with a urea based balm. Hopefully this will help. Didn't want get fitted orthodontic inserts till after the next round of RT. Might go with gel / silicon inserts in the mean time. Go to the boat show tomorrow and then have an easy weekend at home and stay off the feet.

Re: Newby from Down Under
Some people recommend a hot soak in Epsom salts mixture. I have not tried this so cannot give a personal recommendation.

Re: Newby from Down Under
2nd week out from 1st round of RT Feet are still sore. Last week 8/10 pain, this week 7/10, still hurts to walk, bad late in the week. Full week of soaking feet in Epson salt and hot water, pumice stone to remove hardened skin, heal balm, (before bed), pain killers and heal balm during the day. Considering taking the week off post 2nd round of treatment.

Re: Newby from Down Under
3rd week out from 1st round of RT Feet are still sore. Last week 8/10 pain, this week 7/10, still hurts to walk, still worst late in the week. Silicon shoe inserts in my work boots seem to help to some extent, however, as soon as I wear warmer (thicker) socks the nodes are in contact again and the pain starts over. I have removed a lot of the hardened skin with pumice stone and sandpaper. Still soaking feet in Epson salt and hot water, heal balm, (before bed), pain killers and heal balm during the day. Definitely taking the week off post 2nd round of treatment. Next round is scheduled to start 11th Sept.

Re: Newby from Down Under
Hi Try using "urederm" 10% urea cream from Hamilton -made in Australia. I would stop using the stone the urea cream will do the same. I am surprised you have pain. I would not have the second treatment until everything settles down .May be allow 12 weeks before the second treatment . I had 12 weeks between treatment in Germany. Always wear shoes which have good inner soles along with cotton socks.

Re: Newby from Down Under
Hi Newman The pain is finally starting to reduce, they just feel "more sensitive", no more pain killers. I am out of the original cream and I'll try and track down your suggestion tomorrow. Maybe the silicon inner soles in my work boots are starting to show some results? Cheers, John

Re: Newby from Down Under
1st day of 2nd session of RT. All good so far. Feet finally settled down after 1st session and pain was back to pre 1st stage pain and hindrance. In hindsight, I think the feet had become super sensitive. Boots, long days on feet were more pronounce than pre-treatment. I will continue with the cream a couple of times a day and plan to take next week off work, or at least out of work boots.
Cheers, John
