Re: Auxilium AA4500 Phase 3 Clinical Trial Experience

Australia Calling. Dont wait too long with that pip joint .You may need a graft at the joint on your next operation to regain the flexibility. My little finger has about l5 degree or 15 millimetre on the table top test . Remember if you have too much deflextion there is no guarantee you will get it straight again . Find a hand surgeon who is also a plastic surgeon .Not a plastics who can do hands. Regards

Newman,

Thanks for the info once again.. I hate the thought of another surgery but from what i have researched that is my only option to try to straighten my pip... I will look into it the first of the year.. J Ann

Re: Auxilium AA4500 Phase 3 Clinical Trial Experience

I had my one month follow up yesterday. Both fingers still measure at zero degrees contraction. So, I am considered a success and now have only follow up visits at 3 and 9 months.

The doctor told me they have had excellent results so far. All nine patients injected have shown considerable improvement. That included at least one who had had multiple surgeries. She told me of a 79 year old woman whose cord snapped the day after the injection. The guy from the Research group conducting the trial described the sound as similar to a loud knuckle cracking!!!
