I think I'll post this on the ledderhose forum also but I'm curious if any of you-with Dupuytren's had plantar fasciitis prior to developing Ledderhose?

I can confirm both having Plantar fasciitis as a runner about 15 years ago and now
suffering from Morbus Ledderhose which was successfully treated at the new facility
where Prof Siegenschmiedt works in Hamburg http://www.strahlenzentrum-hamburg.de/

His practical skills and diligence in the examination of my feet ( an my hands) were really
amazing - he does not treat the "dormant disease" and also does not treat the "advanced
disease" - for Ledderhose the determinant factors for Prof. Siegenschmiedt to treat are:
(1) pain symptoms; (2) unpleasant sensations, like numbness, pressure or tension sensation;
(3) increasing size of nodules within 6 months; (4) functional impairment like walking difficulties

In my cas the two large nodules were reduced in size by more than 50%, I lost all symptoms
and my gait was completely normalized. My treament was done on a linear accelarator but not
with the photons ...

I personall feel, that my initial plantar fasciitis had nothing to do with my later Morbus Ledderhose.
Prof Siegenschmiedt made no conclusive statement when I asked him; however he stated that he
was treating patients with the fasciitis using very low doses of radiation like 0,5 given for about
5 - 10 times. That's all what I can contribute to this topic.
