17-year update!

Hi, everyone!

I first found this forum in 2005 when I got my first knuckle pad at the age of 30. Since then, I had it removed (it grew right back, then shrunk to barely noticeable). I now have four more pads, plus Ledderhose and a slowly contracting left thumb I've decided finally needs more attention.

By coincidence, today I met a woman with Dups and a pinky finger that contracted badly after surgery. She says she's ready to have it amputated. I've never heard of this with Dups and can't fathom it.

I'm in Allentown, PA and have an appointment scheduled with a local hand surgeon trained in NA. Have any of you heard of him?

I'm also going to call Dr. Gary Pess, but he's a 1.5 hour drive.

Hi pixi

Dr Talsania gets mentioned positively in the FB groups (for NA). Good luck with your appointment and treatment.

Also you can find a few people who have had pinkie amputations in the groups, and we have threads discussing it on our forum. I responded to one this week on FB asking about a ray amputation.

Re: 17-year update!

Thanks, SB! I did read that thread, and it's scary that surgery may have been responsible for the need to amputate.
