There is no research being done on Dupuytren's that I have found other than for the use of the enzyme solution to dissolve diseased tissue which is at least 3 years from being on the market and readily available, probably much longer.

For now NAC is promising. For more information look for research on cystic fibrosis or connective tissue disorders which may be similar to Dupuytren's.

There is also research on the use of streptolysin O, a bacterial toxin, to treat "scars, adhesions and fibrosis", which may be beneficial for people with Dupuytren's.

I expect that more treatment options will become available over the next 5 years and that treatments for other diseases may become available and of use for Dupuytren's as well. The good news is that the drug companies like to find as many uses for their drugs as possible to improve profits so they are likely to promote secondary uses for the products they develop for one primary group.
