Dr. Eaton closing practice

I have had a rather perplexing experience over the last couple of months. I called the Hand Center back in September and asked about how the schedule looked for NA with Dr. Eaton and was told that he was booking appointments at that time in Sept, Oct and Nov. I have had a previous NA from another doctor who I felt was competent, but reluctant to work on the cords in my pinky. As a result, after 5 years, my ring finger is still excellent, but the pinky has contracted significantly.

I sent my pictures into Dr. Eaton and, after nearly a month of waiting, was told that I was a good candidate for NA, and that the Dr felt I would get good results, but that they had no more appointments available in 2012. The explanation I got for the inconsistent information was that there were a large number of patients who just happened to submit photos at the same time as me, and all the available appointments were booked into next year. I asked that they please schedule me at their earliest convenience in 2013, and now, after another month, they respond saying that Dr. Eaton is closing his practice.

Anyone out there have any confirmation of this?

I was looking for the best available treatment in the US and felt that Dr Eaton was the one. Now I'm looking for recommendations, based on personal experience, from anyone who has had excellent results with NA from another physician.

Thanks for any input.
