High HDL
Since I have a mild case of D.C., I forgot to mention it to my Dr. She did mention that my HDL was higher than desired maybe due to fighting toxins in my body. Has anyone found a link or they themselves had very high HDL with DC? Thanks, Susan

Hi Susan, unfortunately I don't know about HDL, but am intrigued by what you call "a mild case of D.C." ("C" standing for "contracture"). So that we can give you more comprehensive advice, what is it that you are observing? A nodule, a cord, or an actual contracture of a finger?

Re: High HDL
Hi, Stef, My left hand has 3 nodules that haven't turned into a cord yet. I haven't showed a dr yet. Why do you ask? Susan

Because you referred to DC, indicating Contracture, rather than to Dupuytren Disease, and if you had a mildly contracted finger I would have suggested a night splint glove to try to prevent or delay further contracture. I would show the nodules to a doctor for a firm diagnosis, and if it is confirmed to be DD, look into the opportunity of radiotherapy if the nodules grow or cords form. Now that we have clarified that, hopefully someone else can answer your question.
