Nerve pain after Fasiectomy

Hi I’m in the U.K. and delighted to find this very active forum, I had my Operation just over two weeks ago, two middle fingers on my right hand (my dominant hand) were heading for my palm, post Op my surgeon was delighted he had managed to straighten my fingers as previously he’d not been able to guarantee he would... my stitches were removed 3 days ago and I only feel a slight soreness from the wound. However I am being driven potty by nerve pains up three of my finger which pain killers hardly touch, anyone had this side effect? My hand is still bandanged and I have a splint that will be adjusted weekly to make my fingers remain straight, I’m concerned also because they are still swollen and slightly bent, the surgeon says down to the work needed to free my fused knuckles.....look forward to hearing others experiences especially with nerve pain....

Hi sunbeam, I hope you found some useful past threads, for example https://www.dupuytren-online.info/Forum_...6024&page=1 and https://www.dupuytren-online.info/Forum_...ery-0_2103.html, and there are others.

They don’t specifically mention the nerve pain you describe, but numbness from nerve damage occasionally gets mentioned, usually temporary, and this may be the same for you. I would ask your surgeon or wound care nurse if you have one.

Two weeks out is early days as I’m sure you are aware.

Best wishes SB
