Splint Recommendation For Little Finger?

Can anyone point me to a generic splint that would force my little finger erect? My finger was treated with Xiaflex recently which was followed by a custom splint made by the Occ. Therapist. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to do enough to encourage the little finger to be erect, now that my swelling has gone down considerably from when the splint was formed. Rather than go back to therapy for a revision, I thought someone on this site might have a recommendation. I plan to use the splint nightly for as long as I can, as I understand that to be an integral part of the therapy.

Re: Splint Recommendation For Little Finger?

I have gone to a Certified Hand Therapist for splinting of little finger...Insurance covers a new one to be made for me each year
since 2009 ! May I suggest,go to the appropriate specialist, wear every night, and include the palm of the hand,as it tends to curl up as you sleep.. good Luck !

Re: Splint Recommendation For Little Finger?

Are you looking for a dynamic splint that forces your finger eventually in a straight position? Dynamic splints are typically day splints and are worn only for a few hours per day. Two examples are on https://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuyt...-splinting.html . I am not sure whether they are available as standard products, probably they must be made custom. Should the splint succeed in straightening your finger you probably have to continue wearing it because otherwise the contracture will return.

I use this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/HailiCare-Exten...+trigger+finger

You can wear it at night easily - it certainly keeps my finger straight at night, I have been using it some my op in May.

Re: Splint Recommendation For Little Finger?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was looking for a part time splint, to wear only at night, to encourage my little finger on the RH to stay erect. I will probably get that soft splint from HailiiCare as it's about the same cost as going to the Therapist to get fitted for a new one.

Re: Splint Recommendation For Little Finger?

Amazon has this identical splint from several different (Chinese) sellers, for various prices. Just do an Amazon search for finger splints and buy the cheapest one; should be less than $15. You can use it on any finger. I've bought 2 so far. Very comfortable. I wear it most of the time day and night.
