Archiving the BioSpecifics Forum

We were able to archive most of the posts of the BioS forum. A big thanks to Clarence!

For performance reasons we split the archive into two boards, depending on the date of the post.

Most of the spam has been removed. Of course this has been done automatically and you might still find one or the other spam post but overall posts & threads (topics) are now well readable again. Enjoy!

I am so very impressed with your accomplishment in bringing the virtually defunct BioSpecic forum over here. Great job guys!

Re: Welcome BioSpecifics Forum Refugees!!!

congratulations to those who rescued the biospecifics contribrutions.I benefited greatly from that forum especially the very well researched pages on Radiotherapy as a treatment.I also discovered the joys of eating tomatoes!!!I wander if red wine
has any benefits.I doubt it given the general view on alcohol.Couldn`t find any information on red wine specifically-though there was loads on alcohol and dups.
How pleasant to be contributing to a well run forum without the nonsense and unpleasantness of spammers!!

Re: Welcome BioSpecifics Forum Refugees!!!

Phil

While red wine is well known for it's cardio benefits, I've seen no suggestion the literature that it is of any value to Dups. Also, from my standpoint, there isn't anything conclusive between the negative link between alcohol consumption and Dups either. Perhaps you can point us in a different direction phil, but in my mind the alcohol connection is controversial. So, I continue enjoy red wind with dinner. My disease is not very aggressive at this point so I can take that chance.

This fine site of Wolfegang's is all *his* doing. We are *all* very fortunate that he was ready to go when BioS went down. I think my presence here will be more low key than on the Bios where I took on the roll of NA Guard Dog. That little spat is mostly over, so now I'm working to invite more Bios refugees and laying in wait for the *first* line of Spam that arrives here!

Re: Welcome BioSpecifics Forum Refugees!!!

Unfortunately, in an earlier attempt to remove some spam, BioS had deleted the whole radiotherapy thread and we didn't have a backup. Too bad but I don't think they did it intentionally.

Re: Welcome BioSpecifics Forum Refugees!!!

I just visited the BioSpecifics forum for the first time in a few weeks. I think the spam is gone. I checked a few postings and they were clean. What do you think?
