My official confirmation of what I have in my right hand. I noticed the first little lump and Googled "lump in palm of hand". There you have it. Now my knuckles ache both sets in my right hand and the left hand the knuckles are aching but no lumps in the palm. I am an artist, yay. Just thought I'd have a boo hoo, poor me moment. Interesting that there are treatments available before the hands become clawed, when the G.P. said nothing could be done until then. I am just getting my head out of the sand. :(

Don't feel bad, I believe a lot of us have had similar experiences. I know I sure did. My GP did not know what it was and referred me to the hand surgeon who said nothing could be done until it was a claw. I know I was depressed and really upset for about 2 weeks and then I snapped out of it. I finished my last RT in August and all is well. I know mine was rapidly starting to show the beginning signs of contracture and I was not about to wait until it became a claw.

Now that winter is fast approaching my hand is feeling cold a lot of the time compared to the non dups hand. I am wearing a glove that stops at the main knuckle and that helps keep my hand a little warmer.

It's good you are getting your head out of the sand, because if it had stayed there you know what part of your anatomy would be left to look at. HA HA

Reagards,

Lori
