I wonder?

Earlier this year, over a period of time I noticed in the morning, out of bed, pain in my left foot as I took my first several steps. The pain emanated from my middle toes as they were flexed. I do some trail running. One day as I ran I suddenly noticed pain growing in that area. My impression was that my sock had bunched up along the seam area of the sock at the crease of my toes and the pad of my foot. I thought it was just the sock. At any rate, it hurt and it intensified. Eventually the pain climaxed and I stopped running altogether. What the hell is wrong with this sock, I wondered. I limped along for a while until I had to take off the shoe and inspect the area. There was what appeared to be blood under the skin as if a vessel had broken on the underside of those same middle toes. I put the shoe back on and after not too long I was able to resume walking normally and even running again to make it home without much pain. Interestingly, from then on, I no longer experienced that pain in the morning. It's gone. Well, now I'm starting to feel the same pain in my right foot in the morning. I theorize that possibly it was a cord that snapped. My GP is a hand surgeon and he asks me how my feet are when we discuss the DC. Until now I've had nothing to report. I suspect it's time. Anybody care to comment?
