is surgery the only true option

hi I have had Ld for about 10 years, first on one foot then it appeared on the other one about two years ago, I ve been operated on twice and twice it has returned with avengeance, I ve now been told that I have become allergic to anesthetic so I m hoping that other treatment is available as the lumps are now fairly large(the largest on my right foot is about 2 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide) and the scar from previous surgery has produced a corn right in the middle, so walking is painful. My doctor says the only option is more surgery to remove the whole inner sole of the foot, but I would like to research other options first, as I m quite scared of more surgery, esp. with the allergy. I m so glad I found this site as nobody seems to know about this.

Some success has been reported with cryosurgery. Just Google on "cryosurgery" and "ledderhose". I recall reading a first-hand account from a patient that was very encouraging.
