Re: Ledderhose Without Nodules?

Hi Linda, I have seen Dr Eatons web sight and will keep him in mind,thankyou.. I have found a Dr in the UK name of Goode,in Dorset who is supposed to be performing NA and radiation on patients. I have passed this information on to my GP and am waiting to hear, hopefully I will be able to get some help from him, as my Dupuytrens is very painful. I am a dental nurse and work 4 handed dentistry,in the last 2 weeks, although I have no constructure, and the growth is mostly effecting my thumbs, the pain and stiffness is making my work very difficult now,I also experience pain in my wrists and arms, weakness too, normal pain killers do not touch this, and I'm reluctant to go down the drug route till I've spoken to some Dr, who knows what their talking about. I will let the forum know,I'm so in the dark, waiting and worried as are everyone as far as I can see.

Re: Ledderhose Without Nodules?

Hi - To the person with the difficulty turning your head - I have read that there is a connection between Dypretren's and Frozen Shoulder Syndrome. To the lady with the pain running down the outside of the leg from the buttock to the knee. My mother has this - had it for 2 years before being diagnosed with Runner's Knee. Since she is my blood relative and I have Ledderhosen and Dupreytren's - it probably is related.... if it is true what my podiatrist said about Ledderhosen coming when the muscles become brittle - then of course all the muscles in the body would be affected?

Re: Ledderhose Without Nodules?

For those who have the pain running on the outside of your leg/thigh to your knee, try Cymbalta. I was in an accident and have suffered for several years with "restless leg syndrome" but it was the pain I initially described especially when I laid down at night or had to stand in a line for too long. My doctor moved and I had to find a new doctor. This doctor put my on Cymbalta which helped my leg almost immediately. I found it too "calming" to take during the day and would take in the early evening. WOW, a good night's sleep. Hopefully this will help others. I also suffer from Plantar Fasciitis with an x ray showing a large hook like heel spur which made walking very painful. Since Cymbalta, I am now barefoot again.

Re: Ledderhose Without Nodules?

Hi Australia Calling. Mary Ann. Are you aware that Heel Spur /Heel Spur Syndrome is treated by using low dose radiation. In chapter 16 of Prof. Seegenschmiedt and others book" Radiotherapy for Non-Malignant Disorders". He mentions that low dose radiotherapy treatment at<0.5Gy three to five times a week over 2-3 weeks. Chronic disorders may require 0.6-1.0 Gy two to three times a week over 2-3 weeks. He mentions that in year 2001 a total of 3621 patients were treated in 136 institutions in Germany. Try the Library-Book published by Springer. Regards.
