minimalist approach re: running shoes

Hi everyone
Has anyone researched 'the minimalist' running shoe?
It was a suggestion made to me by a chiropractor in Venice Florida. A review on You Tube of the Sacouny running shoe discusses the difference in shoe construction.
I stopped wearing my orthodics a week and a half ago. It is a process ( i.e. my walks are slow and not as long). My feet feel great when I am not wearing shoes. I noticed my plantar fascitis on left foot has become tender. I look forward to my next osteopath app't.

Re: minimalist approach re: running shoes

There have been a number of posts about those type shoes (minimalist/barefoot). The Nike Free shoe is one mentioned by Larry, cyclist, and Prof S. I researched them and tried them on but didn't care for the fit for my feet. Just a personal preference.

The Nike Free in the USA is now 3 models? The 3.0, the 5.0 has been replaced by the Free Run+, and the 7.0 which has the most cushioning I think. There is a Free Walk as well. These are men's models. The women's may be different. It was sorta confusing.
