I have been off my feet for 3 weeks my plantar fibromotosis had caused a tear in my palmar fascia

I have had plantar fasciitis on and off. My foot doctor finally injected steroids in the inflammed area, and that cleared it up. You may want to try this treatment before going to the drastic measure of plantar release. I also have severe plantar fascia fibromas. My foot doctor treats those by injecting Kenalog into the fibromas and follows that with steroid cream infused into the tissue with ultrasound; that really removes a lot of the inflammation, so the fibromas are smaller. After each ultrasound treatment, he puts electrical stimulation on the fascia and then ices it for 15 minutes. I have nine ultrasound/electrical stimulation/icing treatments after the injections. He says it is safer to inject only one foot at a time - to avoid tears in the fascia.

I expect to manage my plantar fibromatosis in this way for the rest of my life. Because the fascia tissue strongly reacts to being cut on (the tissue gets much larger), I'd avoid surgery if possible.
