Re: Radiation in South Carolina

Bill,

Greensboro is only 1.5 hours away from Charlotte and Dr. Crimaldi in Southeast Radiation has an office in Mooresville that is closer than Charlotte. That is where I was treated for DD and they are very familiar with lose dose RT. You might want to contact them. If you need the phone number for the office in Mooresville let me know and I will be glad to provide that and a contact person for the Mooresville office. They did a great job.

Re: Radiation in South Carolina

I had radiation treatment on both hands for DD during this pass summer in Columbia SC. I went to see Dr. Anthony Crimaldi in Charlotti NC that I found on this site and he was wonderful and very helpful. He knew an Oncologist in Columbia that was willing to work with me. He talked him through how to do the treatments, how much radiation, how to do the shielding , etc. The hospital Oncology dept. And Physics dept. Both worked on me together. I had 2 weeks of treatments that were 6 weeks apart. IT has been 4 months now and the lumps in my hands are almost totally gone. My right hand even had one finger that had Started to bend a little and it is much softer and better. The doctor that worked with me was doctor Raliegh Boulware at Richland Memorial oncology. If anyone is close to Columbia SC they were great, although I think I was the first person they treated that did not have cancer.

Re: Radiation in South Carolina

So glad to hear that another oncologist was interested in learning about RT for Dupuytren's.

I respect these doctors who are willing to step outside "traditional" medicine and help patients who need RT to stop progression of this disease. I respect Dr. Crimaldi for his willingness to work with others so that patients don't have to travel so far. It seems that there is an unusual sense of cooperation and working together for the best treatment for patients among all doctors offering early treatments of NA and RT.

Thank you to all doctors who helping patients who have this weird disease! You are wonderful!

Re: Radiation in South Carolina

Well all..I have my 5th radiation treatment in Charleston, SC tomorrow. Then i wait 5 weeks and have 5 more days of treatment. The Medical University of South Carolina has been great! They have researched the German techniques and are following them to the T. The are performing treatment for both by feet and my one hand. I am so hoping to see results from this. I will keep everyone posted.
