Started verapamil gel this week- PD Labs

My foot doc started me on the Verapamil gel this week. Thankfully my insurance covers it.
Has anyone at all heard anything positive about this treatment? I've searched the internet for
hours and can not find anyone saying they have any success at all.
Thank you!
Beth Ann

Searching our forum

Beth Ann, you can also search our forum. Click on Search in the top command menu of the forum, type Verapamil als search term and select "search in topics and answers". That will provide you with a list of posts regarding Verapamil. But please don't expect enthusiastic success stories. You might also have a quick look at http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytren_anecdotal.html .

Please let us know how you experienced this treatment and whether it worked or not. Everyone is a little different, so it might work for you. Did your doctor observe any success with any of his patients?

Contact the folks at PD labs and ask for any published studies on the product for your particular usage. I doubt they have anything. I tried it anyway........with no results.

In theory this medicine sounds like a wonderful solution and simple cure for our problem, yet it is a complete waste of money and time. These guys should be shut down for deception.

Re: Started verapamil gel this week- PD Labs

Bethann, I started verapamil about a month and a half ago. My observations are: 1. Instead of flesh colored nodules, they are becoming more purplish. 2. The seem somewhat less painful. 3. I don't know if they were just inflamed before starting verapamil, but now they seem to be able to be moved more easily and I can feel cords and shape to them that I couldn't before.
Sometimes I think they appear a teeny bit smaller but am worried that is just wishful thinking.
I massage it in very thoroughly, how about you? After deeply massaging sometimes I will have sharp pains for a while afterward but they seem to go away. Keep me posted on what your experiences are, OK?

It does nothing. Ask your MD what information he has regarding its effectiveness and I'll bet he admits he has none.

Hey Debr,
Just wondering if you are seeing any improvement in the last couple of months using the Verapamil. Please let us know when you have time.

Re: Started verapamil gel this week- PD Labs

Hey PatandPaula,
I can't really say postively, because I think I am having some strong wishful thinking. But IMHO, I think the nodules look a teeny bit flatter right now. I also started NAC so I am not sure what is making the difference for sure.
I can tell you I was in considerable pain before starting verapamil, and for the most part that pain has dissapated. (This is before I started NAC) I do experience some discomfort for whatever reason on some days, but for the most part it is not as bad.
I am still continue the verapamil and NAC though.
I hope this helps!

PatandPaula,
I need to clarify that I am not using verapamil from PD Labs....I am using a 15% verapamil gel formulated by a pharmacy where I live.
