I had never heard of colchicine until its recent and ongoing off-label use in some places for Covid19, and certainly not for DD. There are older papers on using it for DD but presumably the effect was low as they have never been followed up? It may be pretty safe at low doses, but it has serious side effects reported at higher or incorrect doses, so beware.

If you never heard of colchicine you probably never suffered from gout ... it used to be popular for treating gout (because it helps) but it turned out that it is poisonous https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20586571/ and thus came out of fashion for gout. I wouldn't recommend it for Dupuytren's.

Colchicine is also mutagenic. It is recommended to avoid pregancy for six after a colchcine treatment. Still interesting that it seems to help against Covid to some extent. The dosis in the Covid trial was very similar to what is / was being used for gout. My own experiencewith colchcine for gout is that for gout you can find relief with a much lower dosis, maybe 2 mg, instead of the 15 mg that were used in the Covid trial.
