Re: NA experience by Australian Users
Steve,
Consider having a night splint made this time to hold the release you have done. I have found that it is making a lot of difference in my hand after having NA done for the 2nd time last July. I can feel the difference and it works while I sleep.

Re: NA experience by Australian Users
Hi all, OK -
I am now back from treatment from Dr Dilly (Sydney) for my Right Hand N/A ... I can report that the procedure has been about 90% successful (very happy with that) and was relatively painless (just the initial anaesthetic)
Dr Dilly is a very nice man who put me at ease and joked through the N/A while skilfully releasing the fingers. He informed me that he knew Dr Charles Eaton well (My first treatment was with Eaton) and that had spent time with Eaton at his his Florida Practice. I would heartily recommend Dr Dilly to anyone contemplating N/A in NSW.
it is now one week since the N/A and my hand is fully useable with no infection or signs of the N/A punctures.

I still have the splints that were created from my previous operation by David Hunter Smith and so I am using these.... I have also taken to using a small amount of Lanolin Ointment on the joints when I spling my hand as I find this is helping my skin to stretch back overnight.
I plan to go back for my Left hand in a week or so - I will post here with news.
Steve

Re: NA experience by Australian Users
Last week I had NA release by Dr Griffin at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide. I have had surgery on both hands which has been both invasive and painful. If I need further treatment it is NA for me! No worries.

Re: NA experience by Australian Users
Hi would it be possible to have Dr Griffin listed on the Society web page. I wrote to his office back in December 2008 but no response. As a patient you might have better luck.

Hi newman,
we would be happy to list Dr. Griffin on our web site but we need his prior approval in writing. Do you by any chance have his email address?

I'll do my best as I'm delighted with the result of his work and would like other DC people to have access to his services

I was treated as a private patient with a medicare rebate - I have yet to see if my private health fund will provide further rebate. NA was carried out at Flinders Private and took approximately 30mins, including time for the local anaesthetic to take effect. I have felt minimal pain and one week later have 100% use of my hand. I have had a night splint made by a local hand physio.. Dr Griffin's offices can be contacted via admin@flinplas.com.au
