N.A. and Dr. Denkler--Please Read

I had two open surgeries on my right hand within 7 months of each other. The first surgery was horrible. The second surgery was done by a different hand surgeon. I am still in a lot of pain. I wish I had gone to Dr. Denkler for the N.A. Procedure on my right hand.

My left hand was at Stage 3 and I decided to see Dr. Denkler. He performed the N.A. Procedure on Dec. 19, 2006. I took off the bandage the next day. I had no pain whatsoever and my entire left hand is straight as an arrow. I understand that there is no cure for Dupuytren's Disease. But I will never again have open surgery on my either hand. Dr. Denkler is a caring, compassionate physician and I am absolutely convinced that had I gone to him for the N.A. Procedure on my right hand, I would not have the problems I am still having with that hand.

For anyone having doubts about having N.A. versus open surgery, take it from me. Have the N.A. Procedure. DO NOT have open surgery, no matter what your hand surgeon says. I believe that the reason more hand surgeons are not doing N.A. is because they see less $$ in their bank accounts. I am sorry to say it that way, but in my mind, the N.A. procedure for Duputyren's is a no-brainer.
