Re: Radiation in US
I wanted to follow up with my latest exam. It has been about a month since my last of two series of radiation treatments. Met with Dr. Reymond this morning (St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, KS). One cord in my left hand seems to be gone. He thinks that the nodules are softer. Nothing is larger or more advanced. I realize that this is early on, but I'm going to keep reporting as I go along so that others might benefit from my experience. My next exam will be in January of 2009. Unless I see some type of change prior to that I probably won't add to the forum, but I will check from time to time to see if someone has questions.

Re: Radiation in US
Hi Australia Calling, I have received the 5X 3Gy radiotherapy protocol by Prof.Seegenschmiedt in Essen Germany. He now repeats this protocol ,if necessary 3 months later. In my case I found that the nodules completly, disappeared in my right hand ,which did not need have the second protocol . After the radiotherapy, the Prof. suggested I apply a high potency creme containing Urea, which helps to retain moisture. I had no adverse results. It is now 12 months since my initial treatment and I am returning next week for a check up and to incorporate a good time in Germany. THE MESSAGE IS DONT WAIT UNTIL THE CORDS DEVELOPE. Regards from down under.

Re: Radiation in US
Hi Newman,
Just wondering how long after your treatment did the nodules start disappearing?
Megan
