Radiation: Can it be done again once both rounds are completed

Hello,
Can you have radiation near the same area as before?

I have a new noduleon the foot. It is in the ball area of the foot.

I just completed RT both rounds on the left foot. When I began the 1st session (July 2013) I did not have signs of a nodule on the ball of that foot. The nodules were in the arch only.

On week 7 after 1st round I began to experience ankle swelling and the tngle senation as I had when all this began.I examine the foot and did not notice anything different.

When I went back for round 2 (Sept.9, 2013) on that foot the oncologist changed the protocol. He went deep and a little wider. The new covered perimeter just barely covers the area of the new nodule.
I know this because:
I have permanent dot tattoos on the foot. It appears the RT barely covered the area of this new nodule.

The 1st round in July 2013 did not go up that high on the foot.
So I am wondering:
I go back for round 2 on my hands & right foot (Dec. 9,2013)

Will he be able to radiate the left ball of the foot? Or is it that once the foot is radiated you cannot have it in the same foot again?

ProfS in Germany will do one half of the protocol, so 5 x 3Gy, making a total of 45Gy as an additional treatment to a previously irradiated area, only in exceptional circumstances.

Others on here from the US, have posted that their radiologist or oncologist will do the full round again, so a total of 60Gy.

I am not sure what you mean?

I do not believe he would repeat the treatment for the third dose of 15Gy until at least one year after the first round of treatment is complete, because this is the first progress review.

As has been said elsewhere it sometimes takes 18months or more to have any tangible results, such as a decline in soreness or softening of nodules, and so on.

In my own case at my first annual review I was unconvinced the treatment had made any difference. Now, two years on my condition is stable, no further progression; but whether that is due to the treatment or a natural quiescence remains a good question. (In my case I think it's due to the treatment).
