I'm suffering from the disease of Ledderhose (i.e. the same as Dupuytrens but located in the foot).
I would like to know if someone tried some alternative tretment as f;ex. homeopathy to cure this disease?

Any other therapy (except surgery: because I did it once, but it came back) and information : I'm looking forward to it.

I am 42 years old man having dupuytrens contracture on my both hands.I have contracture of the third fingure.I dont want to go for surgery as I have come to know about the possibility of recurrence of contracture even after the surgery.

So, I would like to have homeopathy treatment or any other natural treatment.

Sunay, I hope that you have done an internet search about
Dupuytren's Disease. It is unusual (not rare) for non-
Northern Euopeans to have DD contractures. Historically,
(one hundred years) this has been considered an introjection
of mal-adaptive genes from, perhaps, Viking explorations.
Given that vague background of genetic origin, one is left
with a search for practical and reliable remedies. To date,
no remedy exists for the genetic aspect of DD (Viking genes?) There exists two major approaches to Dupuytren's
contractures: hand surgery (mostly USA) and Needle Aponevrotomy (originated in France.) A third option is
currently progressing in FDA trials in the USA (Cordase or
Clostridium Collagenase injections.)
Well, what to do? Your degree of contractures suggests to
me that you will benefit from NA (Needle Aponevrotomy) in
the short to middle term. If Genetics or surgery improve down the road (later on) you can consider re-treatment.
At present, hand "surgery" is traumatic in and of itself
to a degree that many/most of us recommend going to a
Doctor trained at Paris' L'hopital Lariboisiere for NA
as an interim and repeatable treaatment option. There are
no cures, at present. Early treatment (30-90 degrees) has
a better prognosis than later (90 plus degrees.)
Start by taking pictures (35 mm or digital) and somehow
sending them to a Doctor on the Lariboisiere list. That
should elicit a response. Ultimately you would travel to
France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, or Jupiter, Florida
for treatment. Post again if you need help in locating the
e-mail or street address of an NA practioner. The information is already on this and other sites. Many of us
can post a link here. (Please do not consider "traditional"
Z-plasty surgery without full consideration of other
options.) Female circumsion is an analogous aproach to a
very different situation; the option is influenced largly
by cultural influence; the results are personal. Choose wisely! Post again, please.

You are correct, there is no current cure for Dups. NA requires non scared skin in the aria a needle will be inserted to cut the Dups tissue below. If the new Dups is in a new location with no scarring from your previous surgeries, NA may be possible. Contact Dr. Eaton and send details pictures of you hand.
